The Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Fadila Al-Rabihi bin Hamza, congratulated the UAE for hosting the "Expo 2020 Dubai" exhibition, expressing her pride that an Arab country is organizing such a cosmic event.

Bin Hamza drew attention to facilitating the participation of all countries in the "Dubai Expo", as a pavilion was allocated to each country, unlike previous international exhibitions.

Bin Hamza indicated that the volume of trade exchange between the UAE and Tunisia witnessed a boom in recent years, rising from 370 million dinars (about 470 million dirhams) in 2016 to 700 million dinars (about 894 million dirhams), during the period between January and November of the year. 2021, noting that her country is looking forward to enhancing the volume of trade exchange with the UAE during the coming period, in light of strengthening business partnerships between the two countries.

Bin Hamza revealed that a Tunisian-Emirati economic day was organized at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of a high-ranking delegation of Tunisian and Emirati businessmen, noting that many projects and investment opportunities in Tunisia were presented, in addition to the available facilities.

"We hope that the projects and investment opportunities will attract businessmen from the UAE market, and we look forward to investments by Emirati businessmen in Tunisia within the framework of a mutually profitable and fruitful partnership," she said.

Ben Hamza pointed to several projects, including a free trade project in southern Tunisia, a platform for trade and a production market in central Tunisia in Sidi Bouzid, and other projects.
