“Apparently, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, would prefer to see in Kazakhstan a repeat of the illegal Maidan coup that took place in Ukraine, which obviously brings back the best memories in him,” Polyansky wrote on Twitter.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova, commenting on Borrell's words, noted that "one should avoid rampant extremism."
Borrell earlier said that CSTO aid to Kazakhstan "evokes memories of situations that should be avoided."
