"Introduce a curfew in the city of Alma-Ata for the period of the state of emergency from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am", - says the decree of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
The Mangystau region is affected by a similar restriction.
Also, in these two regions, the protection of public order and especially important facilities will be strengthened.
Earlier, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev introduced a state of emergency in Almaty and the Mangistau region amid protests over an increase in the cost of liquefied gas.
