The sexual extortion plot of university professors in Morocco has reached the university of Uxda, in the east of the country, after the trial of five university professors in Settat (in the center) for sexually blackmailing their students in the so-called "

sex

case

in exchange for good grades

. "

The king's attorney before the Uxda Court of Appeal ordered today that a professor from the National School of Commerce and Management (ENCG), which depends on the Mohamed I University of that city, be investigated for an alleged sexual blackmail of one of her students, according to judicial and security sources.

Following an administrative investigation at ENGG, the professor, who also held the position of coordinator of the Department of Management, was also suspended from all his duties by order of the Minister of Higher Education, Abdellatif Miraoui.

For his part, the director of the School resigned after the scandal broke out, while two other important management positions were dismissed.

Likewise, the Mohamed I University has set up a free phone number and an email address where students can

report behavior that violates their dignity.

On the 13th of this month another trial session will be held against four teachers from the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the University of Settat, located 160 kilometers south of Rabat, who are being tried for asking their students for sexual favors in exchange to raise the note.

These teachers, two of them in preventive detention, are accused of sexual harassment, incitement to depravity, sexual discrimination, psychological violence against women by a person in a position of authority and abuse of authority, and

can be sentenced to a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.

The fifth professor is being investigated by the king's attorney before the Court of Appeal of the same city and is accused of crimes of sexual harassment and "indecent assault with violence", punishable by between five and ten years in prison.

In recent years there have been several cases of teachers asking their students for sexual favors.

In 2017, a university professor from the northern city of Tetouan was sentenced to one year in jail for harassment.
