The sapphire capital of the world shimmers with its treasures at the "Expo"

A precious yellow sapphire shone in Sri Lanka's pavilion at "Expo 2020 Dubai", to display in the largest international gathering the wealth of this country, causing some to describe it as "the ruby ​​capital of the world".

The rare golden yellow sapphire is presented to visitors of the Sri Lanka pavilion, weighing more than 200 carats, with a value of more than four and a half million dollars, to be one of the rarest and most valuable golden yellow sapphires in the world.

"This type of golden yellow sapphire is only found in Sri Lanka," said Moshan Salahuddin of Mochan International.

“This species is found in mines in central Sri Lanka, so this is a wonderful gem.

It was found five years ago in the form of a rock weighing more than 460 carats, and it was cut and cleaned to bring to light this magnificent sapphire that weighs 203 carats.”

Moshan added, "It is common in Sri Lanka to find sapphires weighing more than 100 carats, as pieces of sapphires are found from time to time, each weighing more than 100 carats, a weight that makes it one of the rarest sapphires in the world."

He continued, "What I want to emphasize is that the size of this sapphire is unusual, and it is rare to find a yellow gold sapphire of this size."

Moshan explained that his company came to "Expo 2020 Dubai": "to draw the world's attention to Sri Lanka, the ruby ​​capital of the world."

He pointed out that his company will enter the market in this region, and plans to have Dubai as its headquarters, praising the trade and business climate in the UAE.
