At the same time, it is assumed that in fact there may be 3-5 times more infected people.

So, according to the National Statistical Service of the United Kingdom, 1.4 million Britons fell ill with coronavirus from December 10 to 16, and 2.3 million from December 17 to 23.

Earlier it became known that the number of cases of infection with the omicron-strain of coronavirus in the UK exceeded 200 thousand.
