According to the press service, Lukashenko signed Decree No. 515 “On Admission to the Citizenship of the Republic of Belarus” on December 31, according to which 380 citizens of Ukraine were admitted to Belarusian citizenship.

“In total, after the Big Conversation with the President, more than 2.3 thousand people who arrived from Ukraine became Belarusian citizens,” the statement says.

It is clarified that, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1234 citizens of Ukraine acquired Belarusian citizenship in a simplified manner. 

In December, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, said that about 350 thousand people with Russian citizenship live in the DPR.
