“Now we get coal by sea for our thermal power plants.

The situation is under control today.

We do not see that there must be certain problems, but coal must be purchased.

Today there was a corresponding order for the NSDC apparatus to take control of the coal procurement for our TPPs, ”he said at a briefing.

His words are quoted by TASS.

The issue of coal supplies "is under the control of the President of Ukraine and the NSDC staff on a daily basis," Danilov added.

Earlier, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman said that the Kiev authorities "slept through" the gas issues and the situation with coal.

As the leader of the Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko noted in November, Ukraine lacks 2.5 million tons of coal and about 3 billion cubic meters of gas in order to overcome the energy crisis.
