"Adopt the following persons into the citizenship of the Russian Federation: Massie Suzanne Rohrbach, born on January 8, 1931 in the United States of America," the decree says, quoted by TASS.

Citizenship also received several natives of France - the descendants of emigrants from Russia, including 80-year-old Dimitri Korniloff, 71-year-old Serge Alexi (Sergei Alekseevich) Kapnist, 41-year-old Alexander Paul Muruzi and 34-year-old Dimitri Lisette.

In May, Suzanne Massy asked Russian leader Vladimir Putin to grant her Russian citizenship.

As noted in the Kremlin, certain bureaucratic procedures are envisaged in this regard.

During a trip to a meeting of the Livadia Club in Yalta, Massi explained that she wanted to obtain Russian citizenship in order to complete the work on the book.

According to her, the book "must be written here."
