Re-applying physical distancing in the Two Holy Mosques

An official source in the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque explained that it was decided to restore the physical distancing procedures in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, starting from seven in the morning, tomorrow, Thursday.

The source explained that physical distancing will be applied between worshipers, redistribution of chapels, and distribution of pilgrims on virtual circumambulation paths, in order to achieve the application of precautionary measures in order to preserve the health and safety of the pilgrims.

And he stressed the need for all visitors to the Two Holy Mosques and their workers to abide by the precautionary measures, by wearing masks, adhering to entry dates according to permits issued by approved applications, maintaining physical distance, and adhering to the instructions of the authorities operating in the Two Holy Mosques.

For his part, the General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, affirmed that the decision to re-implement physical distancing in the Two Holy Mosques stems from the keenness of the wise leadership in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the health of the pilgrims, pilgrims and visitors to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

He added that the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has taken all health precautions to provide health security and a safe healthy devotional environment for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques and to preserve people and the place while providing all services in accordance with the leadership's directives and its concern for the safety of society, people and the place.

Al-Sudais urged visitors to the Two Holy Mosques to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures applied in the Two Holy Mosques, including wearing a medical mask, maintaining physical distance, and adhering to the instructions of the competent authorities.
