According to RIA Novosti, according to the legislation in force until now, letterheads, signs, advertisements and other visual information were to be presented in Kazakh and Russian, and, if necessary, in other languages.

Tengrinews.kz writes that one of the innovations of the law provides for the placement of advertisements, advertisements, price lists, price tags, menus, signs and other visual information in the state (Kazakh) language, and, if necessary, in Russian and (or) other languages, unless otherwise provided by the legislative acts of Kazakhstan.

In October, the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan at a meeting approved amendments to some legislative acts of the republic on visual information, which imply the need to use the Kazakh language on signs and advertising signs.
