Today (30th), the first news is from the United States, a baby who was born with a hearing impairment and heard his mother's voice for the first time at 9 months of age.

What was the baby's reaction at that moment?

The baby looks around with bewildered expressions, and when he hears the mother's voice, he smiles and buries his face in his mother's arms as if embarrassed.

A baby named Everett Collie was born last February in Virginia, USA.

He was said to have lost hearing in both ears since he was born.

However, the parents took care of their son with love and even learned sign language in advance for future communication.

Then, he heard from medical staff that he could restore his hearing with a cochlear implant.

The fear that a baby less than a year old could survive a major operation was ahead of them, but after receiving the advice of the medical staff that the operation should be performed as soon as possible for the child's language development, I decided to have the operation.

On the 6th, the baby who went to the operating table was able to finally hear the voice of the world after 4 hours of surgery and 2 weeks of recovery.
