The retreat "Arabic is the language of life", hosted by "Expo 2020 Dubai", discussed the relationship of the Arabic language with the main sectors of societies, and ways to produce Arabic content that supports its development.

The cultural retreat, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Youth Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, shed light on the center’s experience, programs and projects launched to advance the Arabic language, and opened up horizons for discussion and dialogue to contribute to the development of future work mechanisms that support a generation Young people, while at the same time in line with the aspirations and goals of the Center.

The retreat was attended by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities in Iraq, Hassan Nazim, the President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, the Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, Dr. Muhammad Safi Al-Mostaghanmi, the Director-General of the Arab World Institute in Paris, Dr. Mujeeb Al-Zahrani, and the Acting Executive Director In the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, Saeed Hamdan, and a number of academics and specialists in the Arabic language.

Dr. Ali bin Tamim said: “At the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, we seek, through events such as the cultural retreat, to discuss the most important issues related to the Arabic language, and ways to link them more deeply with the vital sectors of our societies, from education, technology and the future, to the content and media industry and other sectors. , as well as sharpening common thinking to address the challenges facing the achievement of these goals. We are proud of our success in attracting our youth to participate in this retreat, which is concerned with the Arabic language and its future.”

The retreat came up with a set of recommendations in various fields related to the Arabic language and education, the need to pay attention to applied linguistic issues related to education, and the development of studies for methods of teaching the Arabic language.

In addition to the importance of completing studies and research projects on the Arabic language and preparing the teacher, and creating virtual Arabic language environments that the generation of children and young people can benefit from, with the application of the feature test and the expansion of the segments on which it is applied, to have an active presence in promoting the presence of the Arabic language.

In the axis of "Arabic" and the future, the recommendations emphasized the importance of adopting a normative approach to the Arabic language with other languages, while launching initiatives to simplify and facilitate it and link it with post-50 skills.

In addition to promoting initiatives that strengthen the relationship between the Arabic language and its young audience and the language's functionality and versatility.
