The facts took place this Tuesday afternoon at Strasbourg station.

Shortly after 3 p.m., a man fell heavily in a staircase in the Alsatian enclosure.

Witnesses then sounded the alarm before help arrived and intervened.

On the spot, several attempts at resuscitation took place for an hour, writes the fire and rescue service (Sdis) of the Bas-Rhin in a press release.

Despite these interventions, the victim, aged 43, died, said a doctor from the SAMU.
