China News Service, December 27. According to Yonhap News Agency, the National Intelligence Agency (hereinafter referred to as the National Intelligence Agency) released information on the 27th that the National Intelligence Agency is investigating the "circulation channels" of counterfeit US banknotes with a face value of $50.

The Korean Academy of Intelligence stated that although the US$50 face value counterfeit banknote has not been found in the territory, it has been circulating in Asia, so it will announce relevant information in advance to prevent trouble.

According to the National Intelligence Agency, the pattern, printing form and special ink used on the counterfeit banknote are almost the same as those of the real banknote.

However, if you carefully observe the counterfeit banknotes with a magnifying glass, you can find that the characters printed around the characters are blurry compared to the real banknotes, and the color of the denominations on the lower right side of the banknotes changes slightly according to the viewing angle.

The Korean Academy of Intelligence believes that agencies’ efforts to crack down on counterfeit US$50 bills are less powerful than counterfeit US$100 bills, and their manufacturing is highly profitable. This may be the main reason why some people make counterfeit US$50 bills.

The National Intelligence Agency of Korea plans to transmit the video introducing the above content to relevant agencies such as the Bank of Korea (the Central Bank) and the Customs Service (Customs).
