Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, December 27 (Reporter Wang Shoubao Gao Wencheng) Iranian Foreign Minister Abdullahhiyan stated on the 27th that the relevant parties to the Comprehensive Agreement on the Iranian Nuclear Issue started the eighth round of U.S.-Iran resumption negotiations on the same day in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Focus on discussing a "new common draft".

Iranian News and Television quoted Abdullahhiyan as saying that this "new common draft" involved the lifting of sanctions against Iran and verification issues, and was reached by all parties in the last round of negotiations.

The new round of negotiations will focus on the draft.

For Iran, the most important issue is that Iranian oil can be sold "unrestricted", and the sale funds are deposited in Iranian bank accounts in foreign currencies.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Khatibzad stated at a regular press conference that day that lifting sanctions against Iran is Iran’s most important goal.

The parties involved in the Iran nuclear agreement should participate in the negotiations with "the determination to reach a good agreement." He called on Britain, France and Germany to "carefully plan" during the negotiations and not to waste time and energy.

He stated that Iran will not accept requests outside the Iran nuclear agreement and will stick to its interests in the Iran nuclear agreement.

If Iran's interests within the framework of the Iran nuclear agreement are satisfied, the new round of negotiations will achieve "good results."

In July 2015, Iran reached an Iran nuclear agreement with the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

In May 2018, the US government unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement, and subsequently restarted and added a series of sanctions against Iran.

Since May 2019, Iran has gradually suspended the implementation of certain provisions of the Iran nuclear agreement, but promised that the measures taken are "reversible."

The parties involved in the Iranian nuclear agreement began to hold talks in Vienna in April this year to discuss the issue of the United States and Iran resuming the implementation of the agreement.

Due to serious differences between the United States and Iran and the change of leadership of the Iranian government, the negotiations were suspended after 6 rounds.

The seventh round of negotiations was held in Vienna from November 29 to December 17.
