With a very special reception, "Expo 2020 Dubai" made the heart of the child (Khaled) happy, during the visit, which took place in cooperation with the "Make a Wish" Foundation, the Ministry of Community Development, and the GCC pavilion at the World Expo.
(Khaled) and his family members were received in the VIP section of the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion, and the “Expo 2020 Dubai” team was keen to take them on a tour of the site of the international event, which has become a dream for young and old, as they visited the Emirati, Saudi and German pavilions, and then headed to the waterfalls. Expo, which is a wonderful landmark of the exhibition, and concluded the visit with a sumptuous dinner for the child who obtained the "Dubai Expo" passport with his family.
For his part, CEO of the “Make a Wish” Foundation, Hani Al-Zubaidi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Community Development and those in charge of the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion, for their constant cooperation in fulfilling the wishes of sick children and bringing happiness to their hearts with their families.
He also thanked the Expo 2020 Dubai administration for their efforts to achieve the wish, by welcoming the child (Khaled) with his family, and honoring them with the luxurious treatment of VIPs, which contributed to lighting a candle of hope and joy in their hearts.
Make a Wish (Khaled), who also received an iPad, is part of a series of “Make Wishes” activities organized by the Ministry of Community Development, in cooperation with the Make A Wish Foundation, and hosted by the Gulf Cooperation Council pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. To fulfill the wishes of 12 children of different nationalities in the UAE, with two children each month, over a period of six months, from last October to March 2022.
