IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi said that his army will prepare military plans against Iran, adding that it is not permissible to reach an agreement with it regarding its nuclear project.

Kohavi announced - at a symposium held by the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv - that Israel does not seek war, but will prepare the necessary practical plans, as he put it.

He considered that the nuclear agreement with Iran would be bad, and would allow Tehran access to military nuclear capabilities.

Kochavi described Iran as a global problem, because it wants to achieve and use nuclear power, as he put it.

And Israeli Army Radio said today, Sunday, that Kohavi directed the acceleration of preparations for a possible attack against Iran, the day after Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi warned that any hostile move against his country would face a firm military response.

The radio reported that Kochavi directed the Air Force to make adjustments to the training programs for pilots and navigators.

"The modifications will be reflected in the more advanced part of the pilots' training, before they become fit for operational activity," she added.

In recent weeks, Israel announced that it was preparing to carry out attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, while Iranian officials responded by saying that any Israeli attack would be answered.

firm response

Yesterday, Saturday, the Iranian president stressed that any hostile move "will face a firm response by the Iranian armed forces, which will lead to the reversal of strategic equations in the region."

Brigadier General Pilot Mehdi Hadian, Deputy Commander of the Air Force in the Iranian Army, also stressed that his country will respond painfully to any threat to its national security.

Hadian added - during a meeting of army leaders - that the air force is ready to defend Iran in all circumstances.

He stressed that the air force owned by the army will enable it to carry out its tasks to the fullest extent despite the sanctions imposed on Iran.
