26 December 2021 The objective of the package of measures promoted by the Minister of Economic Development Giancarlo Giorgetti, who integrated the resources to support female entrepreneurs with the 400 million euros provided for by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, is that to encourage women to enter the business world, supporting their skills and creativity to start new entrepreneurial activities and the implementation of innovative projects, through non-repayable grants and subsidized loans. 



This is an intervention strongly desired by the Mise which

aims to make structural

the facilities to encourage the participation of women in the business world, strengthening and redesigning the current incentives to support female entrepreneurs to increase their effectiveness.

"I am proud of this important intervention, a real driving force for female entrepreneurship", said Minister Giorgetti who adds: "the resources allocated, among the various measures and including the PNRR, are massive and aimed at having a substantial impact. There are incentives and support for various sectors to meet different needs. The objective - underlines the minister - is to enhance the genius, resourcefulness and tenacity of women in the world of industry in its various expressions and this is what we want to achieve with this 'set of measures studied ad hoc for many areas. It is a much awaited measure that we support with strength and conviction: we will do it by activating all the necessary tools, also through a communication campaign of significant dimensions.the intent is to reach as many realities as possible ", concludes the Mise owner.



Inter measure,

planned objectives


In particular, with the Decree of Minister Giorgetti of 24 November, also signed by the

Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Elena Bonetti family

and sent to the Court of Auditors for registration, both the

new

Fund for female entrepreneurship

that already has 40 million euros (which became operational last December 14 with the publication of the implementing decree in the Official Gazette) and a series of measures already launched as

new zero-rate companies

, which supports the creation of small and medium-sized enterprises and auto entrepreneurship, and

Smart & Start

, which supports innovative start-ups and SMEs.



The objective is to support at least 2400 female businesses, facilitating the implementation of innovative business projects, including those already established and launched; supporting female start-ups through corporate mentoring (guidance and training, ed), technical-managerial assistance and measures for work-life balance; creating a favorable cultural climate that enhances female entrepreneurship through accompanying measures, monitoring and communication campaigns. 



It is also expected that at least 40% of the financial endowment of the new Fund for female entrepreneurship will be allocated to the financing of

projects to be carried out in the Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily regions



Finally, the "

Woman Enterprise Committee 

" is currently being defined,

which will establish itself at the Ministry of Economic Development and will also be composed of 5 women entrepreneurs and managers who will actively participate in monitoring operations on the measures adopted, proposing solutions to any problems that may arise on the theme of the presence of women in business and in the economy.



Breakdown of the

400 million

euros


The decree of 400 million euros establishes the conditions for financial support, specifying the eligibility criteria in line with the objectives of the Recovery Fund, and in particular assigns:


• 

160 million

for interventions on the women's business fund, divided into 38.8 million for the «Incentives for the creation of women's businesses» and 121.2 million for the “Incentives for the development and consolidation of women's businesses”;


100 million

for interventions in favor of female enterprises under the Nito-On measure (the measure is aimed at Micro and small enterprises and has already been started and managed by Invitalia on behalf of the Mise);


100 million

for interventions in favor of female enterprises under the Smart & Start Italy measure (the measure is aimed at innovative startups and has already been started and managed by Invitalia on behalf of Mise).


• The remaining resources up to

40 million

they will be earmarked for the

"Creation of women's businesses"

investment

and used for accompanying measures, monitoring and communication campaigns.
