The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced the new official working hours in its offices and in its various service delivery centers across the emirate.

In line with the decision of the Government of the Emirate of Dubai to change the system of weekly work in the emirate to comply with the new system in the federal government, provided that the application of the new system for official working hours will begin on January 3 next.

The working hours in the main offices of the Roads and Transport Authority will be from Monday until Friday of each week, and the weekend will be on Saturday and Sunday, provided that the daily working hours will be from 7:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon, except for Friday, which The official working hours will be from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.

The working hours of the service providers (technical examination) centers will be from Sunday to Thursday full-time as currently in force, and Saturday will be an official holiday for these centers, and work on Friday will be from (4:00) in the afternoon to (9:00) in the evening .

The working hours of the Authority’s customer happiness centers will be from Monday to Thursday full-time, as is currently the case, from (8:00) in the morning until (7:30) in the evening, and Saturday and Sunday will be a weekly official holiday for these centers.

As for the working hours of the customer happiness centers on Friday, it will be from (8:00) in the morning to (12:00) in the afternoon.

The operating hours of the Dubai Metro, with its red and green lines, will be from Monday to Thursday from (5:00) in the morning until (1:15) the next morning.

The metro’s operating hours will be from Friday to Saturday from (5:00) am to (2:15) the following morning, and it will operate on Sunday from (8:00) am to (1:15) the following morning.

As for the Dubai Tram operating hours, it will be from Monday to Saturday from (6:00) am to (1:00) the next morning, and its operating hours on Sunday will be from (9:00) am to (1:00) the next morning.

The operating hours of public buses (Dubai Bus) will be from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, according to the bus scheduling system and in proportion to the demand for service.

With regard to public parking, the current system will be in effect until further notice, as public parking will be free on Fridays and official holidays.

As for the floating bridge, the new closing times will be from 10:00 pm on Saturday to 6:00 am on Monday, to provide the appropriate time for navigational activities, tourist boats and bridge maintenance work, starting from the date of February 2, 2022.
