In Casalbordino (in the province of Chieti), a 74-year-old man killed his 72-year-old wife by throwing her into the Osento river, near the town of Vasto. It happened shortly after lunch, near a bridge on provincial road 216. According to what the carabinieri, who are investigating the incident, have made known, the pensioner was constituted in the barracks immediately after the tragedy. The woman had been ill for some time and it seems irreversible.
On Christmas Day a similar script, only with a different scenario: an 80-year-old man from Amelia, in the province of Perugia, was arrested by the carabinieri on charges of killing his wife with a pistol shot.
It seems that the crime dates back to the night between 24 and 25 December.
The murder, according to the investigators, would be attributable to the serious health conditions of the woman.
