India has announced that a senior foreign ministry official has visited neighboring Myanmar to meet with the top of the military.

As the international community refrains from moving to approve military governance, India is expected to seek to gain influence by embarking on direct talks with Myanmar.

According to the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Under Secretary of State Schlingla visited Myanmar for two days until the 23rd and met with commander Min Aung Hlaing, the head of the army.

In this, the Indian side emphasized to Myanmar the importance of returning to a democratic political system at an early stage and stopping all violence.

In addition, Deputy Secretary Schlingla met with officials from a party led by Aung San Suu Kyi and donated one million doses of the new Indian-made coronavirus vaccine to the Myanmar Red Cross Society.

India is wary of many people fleeing into the country in the ongoing battle between the Myanmar army and armed pro-democracy forces, and the movement of China, which is in conflict over the border, to strengthen relations with the Myanmar army. ..

Regarding Myanmar, each country is refraining from moving to approve the rule of the military, but India seems to have the aim of securing influence by embarking on direct discussions with an emphasis on Myanmar's stability. ..
