“Julian Assange filed a petition this morning for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of the High Court’s ruling that he could be extradited to the United States,” she said.
Assange's request for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court is currently being considered by High Court justices, she said.
On December 10, the Court of Appeal for England and Wales upheld the US appeal and allowed Julian Assange's extradition from Britain.
In this regard, Morris said that the decision of the London court to extradite Assange to the United States will be challenged as soon as possible.
