WHO recommends not to carry out widespread vaccination of children against coronavirus

This is stated in a statement published on the WHO website following a meeting of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE).

The WHO explained that the likelihood of a severe course of the disease in these age groups is small.

At the same time, not all countries have yet achieved high vaccination coverage among risk groups for coronavirus.

Earlier, the Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that 2022 should be the final year for the coronavirus pandemic.
