This was stated by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Channel One.

“These are the same media, they also participate in the press conference and will have the same right to ask their question to the head of state,” RIA Novosti quoted Peskov as saying.

The status of a foreign agent is not prohibitive, but only obliges the media to inform their audience about foreign funding, he explained.

Earlier, Peskov, in an interview with NTV, spoke about the selection of journalists to participate in Putin's press conference.

The big press conference will be held on December 23 in face-to-face format at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall.
