China News Service, December 22. According to Reuters news, on the 21st local time, Indian Petroleum Corporation stated that a fire broke out at its oil refinery in Haldia, killing 3 people and injuring 44 others.

  The company said that the accident occurred at about 2:50 pm local time on the 21st. At that time, a gasoline manufacturing workshop in the refinery was undergoing maintenance-related work.

  A spokesperson for the Indian Petroleum Corporation said in a statement that “the fire caused 44 burns and three unfortunately died”.

  According to reports, the fire has been extinguished, and relevant departments are investigating the cause of the accident.
