WHO = World Health Organization has added a new coronavirus vaccine developed and manufactured by the American pharmaceutical company Novabacs to the list of emergency use.

It is expected to lead to accelerated distribution to developing countries.

WHO announced on the 21st that it has added a new coronavirus vaccine developed and manufactured by American pharmaceutical company Novavacs to the list of emergency use.

The same vaccine manufactured by a major Indian pharmaceutical company was added to the emergency use list on the 17th of this month.

This vaccine was developed with the support of the "COVAX Facility", a framework for vaccine development and distribution led by WHO, etc., and is said to be suitable for distribution to developing countries because it can be stored in a normal refrigerator.

The total distribution of vaccines through COVAX so far was about 790 million doses, which is far below the original plan of about 2 billion doses by the end of the year, and this time a new vaccine has been added to the list. Therefore, it is expected that COVAX will accelerate the distribution to developing countries.
