“I intend to convene a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council early next year,” RIA Novosti quotes Stoltenberg's statement.
According to him, the main topic of the talks will be the situation around Ukraine.
“We are ready for a dialogue with Russia,” the NATO Secretary General stressed.
Earlier, US Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan announced the US readiness to participate in diplomacy through a variety of channels, including bilateral interaction, the Russia-NATO Council and the OSCE.
EU Foreign Service Representative Peter Stano said that the NATO-Russia Council and OSCE mechanisms are fundamental to any interaction with Russia.
