At Tuesday's press conference, the government announced a series of new, tough restrictions to slow the spread of infection.

For restaurants and restaurants, only seated parties are allowed and a distance of one meter is required between the parties.

- This means in practice that there will be no nightclub partying on Christmas Day or New Year's Eve, said Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson (S).
