Exceptions exist for staff who do not meet other people within two meters during the work shift.

- We view these stricter recommendations positively, that we therefore use mouth guards to a greater extent today than we did last week, says Mattias Carlsson, operations manager for elderly care in Nyköping municipality.

Mouthguards are now recommended in more situations for care staff, but also for adult visitors.

Children up to the age of 16 must not use mouth guards according to the infection control unit, but can if they want to.
