As a countermeasure against the new mutant virus "Omicron strain" of the new corona, the government has requested close contacts to stay at the accommodation for 14 days.

I would like to do my best to prevent the spread of infection in Japan by understanding the behavior as much as possible.

On the 21st, two people were confirmed to be infected with the new mutant virus "Omicron strain" of the new coronavirus, and one person was confirmed in Saitama prefecture, bringing the total to 85 people in Japan.

The government has stated that the people who have been confirmed to be infected so far are those who have returned from overseas and their close contacts, and that there is no community-acquired infection. The policy is to extend the current measures that are currently in place and continue to implement measures at the water's edge.

Under these circumstances, Prime Minister Kishida conducted an inspection of "Omicron strains" on all domestically infected persons on the 21st, and in addition to thoroughly detecting them at an early stage, instead of waiting at home for close contacts. He revealed his intention to request that the accommodation stay for 14 days.

The policy is to request that even close contacts who are already waiting at home move to the accommodation facility, and by grasping the behavior as much as possible, we will do our best to prevent the spread of infection in Japan in the future. ..

In addition, as the chances of contact with people are expected to increase ahead of the end of the year and the beginning of the year, we are calling for cooperation to work on basic infection control measures such as wearing masks and thoroughly washing hands.
