“I just want it to be calmer on the street”: how is the investigation of a drunken brawl near the Krylatskoye metro progressing

The names of the young people who saved the 39-year-old Muscovite Evgenia Zhuravleva, who tried to stop the fight between the two men, have become known.

As RT found out, the conflict was stopped by the natives of Chechnya Saydash Kaplanov, Adam Damayev and Vakha Gerikhanov.

Recall that on the evening of November 17, Evgenia was going to the store to buy groceries when she saw a man - as it turned out later, 27-year-old Mikhail Garibshoev - kick a man lying on the ground, who no longer offered resistance, at the exit from the underground passage near the Krylatskoye metro station.

There were many passers-by on the street, but no one dared to interfere.

Zhuravleva came up and tried to stop the beating, but Garibshoev hit the woman in the face and knocked her down.

Young people who were natives of the Chechen Republic saved her from further beatings.

Taking advantage of the confusion, both Garibshoev and the man beaten by him fled the scene.

The incident was filmed on the phone by one of the eyewitnesses and posted on the network.

The next day, the brave act of the Muscovite became one of the main news of the Runet.

However, as Evgenia said, the noise soon subsided.

“All this time I lay quietly in the hospital.

None of the officials were interested in their well-being, did not come.

Only the investigator was there and took my testimony, ”she told RT.

In the hospital, Zhuravleva spent almost a month - she was treating a closed fracture of the arm and a concussion: “I was discharged just the other day and returned to work.”

The woman admitted that she did not want unnecessary attention and did not consider her act to be something extraordinary.

She did not even tell her friends and colleagues about this incident.

“Everyone treats me the same way, but I haven’t told anyone, and what can I say.

Maybe I’m such a fool, but I think that this is just normal behavior, you can’t pass by when people are offended.

There is no need to admire and give awards.

It just upsets me that for many it turns out to be a feat, ”she says.

Despite the injuries, Evgenia does not regret her act and, according to her, would do the same again.

“Even after everything that happened, if I pass by and again see that a person is being offended in this way, I will also intervene,” she admitted.

For her, it is only important that the culprit does not go unpunished.

“I want this person to be held accountable.

My daughter is growing up, I want it to be calmer on our streets.

Otherwise, it turns out that as soon as you go to the store, anyone can hit you in the face, ”she says.

As the media found out, the culprit of the fight was 27-year-old Mikhail Garibshoev, a native of Tajikistan, who received Russian citizenship a few years ago.

It was reported that he was registered in the Rostov region, while at the time of the fight he lived in one of the cities of the Moscow region.

In Krylatskoye, he came to see a friend.

The meeting was accompanied by a heavy drink, and ended in a drunken fight in the street, which Evgenia tried to stop.

It was reported that Garibshoev had previously been prosecuted several times for such minor criminal offenses.

The police quickly managed to detain the man - at the time when the law enforcement authorities found him, he was still drunk.

On November 20, in the Kuntsevsky District Court, he was charged under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Hooliganism”).

“I heard that the charge was brought.

I think they will still be summoned to court.

But it is not yet clear when it will be.

I heard that it may take some more time, but I hope that in the end the court will make a fair decision so that it is discordant to behave this way, ”Yevgenia said.

As RT was told in the press service of the court, while Garibshoev was arrested for two months.

He will stay in jail until at least 18 January.

The materials were transferred to the Moscow City Court.

The maximum punishment under the article sane to a man is seven years in prison.

Meanwhile, Evgenia Zhuravleva refused to go to peace and forgive her offender.

“While I was in the hospital, the bully's lawyer contacted me.

He offered to meet.

Probably, they wanted to go to the world, offer monetary compensation.

But I immediately refused, I didn't even listen.

It was not for this that I stood up and got injured, so that later they would pay me for it, ”she told RT.
