According to her, there were relevant recommendations earlier, and now a new thesis has been added there in the context of reports of an alleged build-up of military forces by Russia on the border with Ukraine.

“Because of COVID-19, the recommendation regarding the refusal to travel to Ukraine was in effect earlier, and it remains, the State Department has updated it with a reference to the build-up of Russian military forces on the border with Ukraine,” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said earlier in an interview with the American magazine Newsweek that the rhetoric of Washington and the Western press about Moscow's "aggressive" plans has no basis.
