The United Kingdom records 82,000 new cases of corona

The United Kingdom recorded 82,886 new infections with the Corona mutator during the past 24 hours.

And Bloomberg News Agency reported today, Sunday, that the country recorded 45 deaths from the Corona virus during the same period.

British researchers concluded that the Omicron mutant may be less effective in attacking the lungs compared to other mutants of the Corona virus.

And the British BA Media reported that the Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Diseases study found that mutations in the spike protein, which make it able to avoid antibodies, may also limit how it multiplies in the lungs and causes severe symptoms.

"These observations show that omicron had immune evasion properties at the expense of reproductive-related properties," the study said.

The study's lead author, Ravi Guptar, professor of clinical microbiology, said there were still challenges despite the positive results.
