In an email, they write that mouth protection is recommended in public transport because not everyone has the opportunity to use other modes of transport and that "in public environments, the authority recommends everyone to keep their distance".

But despite the recommendations, the number of covid is now increasing in several regions.
At the same time, there is an influenza epidemic where the number of cases in hospitals is increasing.
The infection control doctor Maria Rotzén Östlund believes that care is on its way into a very stressful situation, and that everyone must do their utmost to slow down the spread of infection.
- I do not know why you are crowded, there are ways to shop without congestion.
You can choose other times and you do not have to go in whole families for example, she says.

- I would not say that I am disappointed.
But I want us to do everything we can to keep the infection down, not least because of our societal functions, so that they are strong, says Maria Rotzén Östlund.
