December 18, 2021 Rare public appearance for the former king of Spain, Juan Carlos I, in exile in the Emirates since 2020: he was seen at a tennis tournament in Abu Dhabi, after Swiss prosecutors, due to lack of evidence, have closed a $ 100 million bribery case against him.
Juan Carlos I, who had to abdicate in 2014 amid scandals, was spotted by photographers at a match-event between his compatriot Rafael Nadal and Canadian Denis Shapovalov, as part of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
