“Within the framework of the memorandum, a project for the construction of multipurpose vessels is planned.
Production will be completely localized in Ukraine, more than 50% of the volume of orders will be fulfilled by Ukrainian enterprises, ”the agency said in a Facebook post.
It is noted that the vessels will be designed by Danish companies in accordance with the customer's requirements.
The first ship, MPV80, is expected to be completed by 2024.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, it will be able to carry out various operations, including search and rescue operations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously announced his intentions to build a new navy by 2035.
According to him, the corresponding infrastructure is already being created in the country.
