25 people suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Morocco have been arrested

A Moroccan official source confirmed to AFP that at the beginning of the month, the security services arrested 25 people suspected of supporting the terrorist organization "ISIS", in several cities, and they were planning to carry out terrorist operations.

The source, who preferred not to be identified, said that the arrests took place this December, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, as part of the ongoing efforts to combat terrorist risks.

He pointed out that some of those arrested were referred to the judiciary after the investigation was completed, while the others will be referred later.

Local media reported that these arrests resulted in the seizure of firearms, live ammunition, knives and documents about making explosive devices.
