The 'Dirst Room Contest' has been held in England.

Emily, an 8-year-old girl, took first place and was given a 'new bed' as a prize.

Recently, a British bed maker held an unusual contest for 'the dirtiest kid's room'.

A marketing manager for the company said, "We held this contest with the hope that the new bed, given as a prize, can be an opportunity for tidying up children who are cluttering the room."

Although the contest was held with good intentions, some netizens also gave critical views.

He pointed out that it is not worthy of an award, saying that it is the parents' fault that the child's room is dirty.

Nevertheless, parents from all over the UK competed for photos of their children's rooms, and after a fierce battle, Emily, an 8-year-old girl from Glasgow, England, won the championship and received a crib worth £400 (about 620,000 won).

When I saw Emily's room, all the shelves were open, and there were various clothes hanging on the shelves.

Emily likes to play in a jungle-like space with stuffed animals, and she uses her room as a dressing room and spends all her time in the living room.

Emily's father, Steve, said, "I'm happy to win and receive the bed. But no matter how much I clean it, it takes less than a week to go back to the room that was bombed. I hope that the new bed will bring a positive change to the child."

The company also released more than 100 registered photos of the nominations, but all the children's rooms were dirty with no space to step on.

They ranged from colorful rooms wondering how they could get into the bed, to sisters who couldn't see each other's faces in the room because they were covered in clutter, to a child who gave up the bed to a toy.

This is a 'news pick'.
