The public radio group, which wishes to remain the "leader in radio and podcasting", will continue to digitize its offer in 2022 and offer new podcasts and formats with a view to "conquering an ever wider audience", specifies it in a press release.

To do this, Radio France intends to devote an investment of 52 million euros to its "high-level" internal productions, in particular by renewing technologies and tools to develop an "ambitious strategy in terms of sound innovation".

The year 2022 will also be marked by the end of the historic renovation project of the Maison de la radio, its Paris headquarters and by the continuation of work in the creation studios, the costs of which amount to 13.2 million euros. euros.

The company will count on "its rigorous and responsible management of its resources" to assume these investments and compensate for the drop of 3 million euros in its state endowment in 2022, she explains.

This management will result in part by the implementation of the "2022 employment agreement" validated in October 2020. This plan provided for 340 voluntary departures by 2022, half of which must be replaced, as well as "the creation of jobs. on digital and technical skills "and the establishment of employees on precarious contracts.

"80% of open departures" by the agreement are "already recorded," said the press release.

In addition, the group will be able to count on the 5 million euros in credits from the recovery plan granted by the State to compensate for the financial losses linked to the Covid-19 crisis.

In 2020, Radio France recorded a loss of 9.6 million euros due to the health crisis.
