Faced with a dazzling fifth wave and an ultra contagious Omicron variant, with 60,800 new cases diagnosed on Thursday, the government convened a new Health Defense Council this afternoon.
Prime Minister Jean Castex took stock of the new measures decided by the executive to curb the spread of the virus and "give visibility to the French" before the end of year celebrations.
A new Health Defense Council was held this Friday afternoon at the Elysee Palace, just a few days before the end of the year holidays.
Faced with a dazzling fifth wave and an ultra contagious Omicron variant, the executive has agreed on new measures to limit as much as possible the risks of contamination as the end of the year holidays approach.
The Prime Minister announced new restrictive and control measures from Britain from tomorrow.
