After more than 70 years, the CDU / CSU and FDP are swapping places in the plenary hall of the Bundestag.

With the votes of the new traffic light coalition and the left, parliament decided on Thursday to change the seating arrangement accordingly.

The FDP parliamentary group, which previously sat between the AfD and the Union, is moving to the side of the Greens and thus more in the middle.

The members of the CDU and CSU, who vehemently opposed this reform, will sit right next to the AfD parliamentary group in the future.

On the far left of the Presidium, the Left is still sitting - as before, followed by the SPD and the Greens.
