December 15, 2021 Greece has decided to tighten the requirements to enter the country, due to the advancement of the Omicron variant: from Sunday, all incoming travelers will have to show not only the Green pass, but also a molecular swab with negative result, carried out in the 48 hours preceding the trip.
This was announced by the Ministry of Health in a statement reported by the Ekhatimerini website.
This was originally announced for travelers from the UK and Denmark only, but was then extended.
