Tymoshenko said this during her speech in the Ukrainian parliament.
The video of the speech was published on the website of the party she leads.
“You and I, dear friends, for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine took the last place on the European continent in terms of GDP per capita,” she said.
According to her, Ukraine is already behind Moldova in this indicator.
Tymoshenko also believes that the artificially created energy crisis in Ukraine leads to colossal inflation, which is "beyond the strength of the people."
“Against this background, there is no indexation of wages, pensions, or social benefits,” she said.
At the end of November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that there was no talk of direct purchases of gas from Russia at the moment.
Prior to that, Tymoshenko said that Ukraine lacks 2.5 million tons of coal and about 3 billion cubic meters of gas in order to overcome the energy crisis.
