The court of Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) on Monday sentenced a man accused of possession of child pornography images to 18 months suspended sentence.
The 44-year-old was also imposed an obligation of care and socio-judicial follow-up.

The name of the accused will appear in the automated judicial file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses.
A questioned in the misunderstanding
The prosecution regretted that the unmarried and childless Mulhousian “never wanted to question his actions”.
An expert for his part explained that the defendant "virtualizes and says he does not understand the evil".
After an anonymous denunciation in 2018, the man's home was searched.
Some 200,000 images and 117 child pornography videos were found there.
