Ms. Benbassa also indicates in a press release that she was dismissed Tuesday in court for her appeal against her exclusion from the environmental group.

The senator from Paris had been excluded from her group after accusations of moral harassment against former collaborators, in an investigation by Mediapart.

"The ordinance establishes parliamentary groups as areas outside the law where it is possible to circumvent all the common rules," said Ms. Benbassa.

Regarding her departure from EELV, the senator specifies that she was kept "withdrawn" from the party "for a period of almost five months" after the Mediapart article in July, then suspended on November 30 "the time for the Executive Board of 'EELV in turn to organize an internal procedure ".

Without waiting for the conclusion of this procedure, Ms. Benbassa announces that she is leaving EELV "today".

She specifies that she remains a senator for Paris and "does not break with political ecology, nor give up her fights".

"I am not leaving the activists either," she underlines.

"It is a device that I am leaving, nothing else, a device ready to let go of an elected official from civil society, loyal and constant in her commitments, on the basis of a press article written exclusively on behalf of and in the absence, up to this day, of any administrative report, of any filing of legal complaints and of any condemnation ", develops the senator.
