The allegations of the Belarusian judiciary against Sergei Tichanowskij are just as false as the official result of the presidential election in August 2020, according to which the ruler Alexandr Lukashenko received a good 80 percent of the vote. The "disturbance of public order" that Tichanowskij is accused of, among other things, consists solely in the fact that he has made use of basic democratic rights. The offense for which he was sentenced to 18 years in prison is attempting to run for president. The crime of his five co-defendants, who received between 14 and 16 years in prison, consists of nothing other than their support for him.

The verdict against Tichanowskij, who presumably has to be in the prison camp longer than other opposition activists in revenge for the activity of his wife Svetlana, should also draw attention to the many victims of the regime, whose names are not so well known.

They are ill-treated in prisons, and many have been forced to make humiliating self-accusations in front of the cameras.

The names of many of the police officers, judges, prosecutors, and propagandists who commit these crimes are known.

Your deeds should be well documented now so that they can be brought to justice quickly after the overthrow of the dictatorship.
