During the meeting, the council discussed what has been achieved since the launch of the Nafees program and the plans and initiatives that will be launched during the next phase. Its session was to launch the second package of initiatives, including training programs, starting from the month of December.

The new package of training programs includes a program to hone competencies, a program to develop nursing sector cadres, and a program to support gaining experience, through training in private companies to support the development of Emirati graduates’ experiences in various sectors, in addition to the career guidance program, which aims to provide career guidance and guidance services that help discover Appropriate skills, opportunities and career paths.

The council also reviewed the Nafes platform, which was launched last September, to allow citizens and companies to register.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Emirati Cadres Competitiveness Council, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, said: “The (Nafis) program launched by the UAE government to support the private sector to employ 75,000 citizens over the next five years has proven its efficiency and effectiveness, through the remarkable results that have been achieved in its framework during the past short period. It received the attention of many stakeholders and private sector institutions that responded to the program, and memoranda of understanding and fruitful partnerships were concluded with them, while other companies revealed plans to employ more citizens during the coming period.

Al Mazrouei pointed out that the Nafes program confirms the leadership's keenness to support and care for Emirati cadres, and provide various means and capabilities in order to develop their skills and enable them to occupy job positions in the private sector in line with their capabilities and scientific and professional qualifications, to enhance the participation of the national workforce in the private sector. Al Mazrouei said that since the launch of the program, many federal and local agencies have been involved to activate and contribute to the initiatives, as more than 330 meetings were held within the framework of the program with representatives of federal and local authorities and representatives of the private sector, with the aim of identifying the private sector's needs of highly skilled employees.
