The European Commission has revised the list of airlines that do not comply with international safety standards, and recently issued its new blacklist of companies banned from flying and landing in the European Union.

In a report published by the French newspaper "Lefigaro", writer Pierre Morel says that the blacklist, which was published on November 25, includes 97 airlines around the world.

The writer explained that the European Commission began publishing the list of air carriers banned from operating in Europe since 2006, and it is updated twice a year with the help of the European Aviation Safety Agency, and it is approved by the European Parliament.

Moldova was able to meet the standards and its companies were removed from the recently issued list, while new names such as Russia's Skol Airlines were added.

The airlines on the list are not allowed to land or fly over the European Union, and sometimes all airlines in a country are banned.

The ban included all airlines in Afghanistan, Heli Malungo, Armenia, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Libya, Nepal, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Sudan and Angola, with the exception of Angola Airlines.

In addition to other companies in several different countries, such as Avior airlines in Venezuela, Blue Wing Airlines in Suriname, Aseman Airlines in Iran, and Iran Air ( Iran Air), Iraqi Airways, Med-View Airline in Nigeria, Zimbabwean Airlines, Skol Airlines in Russia, and Air Koryo in North Korea.
