The alarm about the accident came in just before 6 pm on Monday night.
The car and the truck collided head-on in a southbound lane just south of Jättendal.

The rescue service has cut up the car to free the two people.
- It was difficult and took time before we could get them away by ambulance, says Martin Eriksson.
What caused the accident is unclear.
Blocked the road
The truck has blocked the road and E4 has been closed with long queues as a result.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the road can be preliminarily opened to traffic at 20 o'clock.
